Background
- Dream Land is an integrated residential and entertainment city located in 6th of October City, Giza Governorate, Egypt. It was founded by Egyptian businessman Ahmed Bahgat and is part of the Bahgat Group.
- The goal behind its establishment was to create a fully integrated city that combines residential, entertainment, and commercial elements.
- Dream Land includes a variety of facilities such as: the amusement park Dream Park, luxury hotels like Sheraton Dream Land Hotel, a selection of restaurants, cafes, shops, a cinema complex, and diverse residential areas.
Challenges
- Dream Land amusement park receives thousands of visitors daily, which led to severe congestion in the parking areas. Before the implementation of the IPark system using RFID technology, visitors faced difficulty finding parking spots.
- Challenges prior to IPark implementation included: visitors spending a long time searching for empty parking spaces, leading to frustration and delays.

- Dream Land management decided to implement the smart parking system (IPark) using RFID technology to overcome these challenges.
- Upon entering the parking area, RFID readers detect the RFID tag on the vehicle.
- The vehicle’s entry time is automatically recorded in a central database.
- Available parking spots are displayed on screens within the parking lots and via a dedicated mobile app.
- Upon exiting, the RFID readers detect the RFID tag again.
- Dream Land management can now monitor vehicle movement and manage parking in real-time.
