- Club Liko is considered an ideal destination for families looking to spend enjoyable and safe time with their children, as it integrates entertainment with education and offers a space full of innovative activities.
Challenges
- Although Club Liko has succeeded in offering a safe and enjoyable environment for children, managing such a place comes with significant challenges, especially in organizing activities and ensuring children’s safety.
- With many children participating in different activities, it was difficult to track their locations and organize activities consistently and efficiently. There was a need to know each child’s location and monitor them continuously, especially when the child moves between different areas or participates in multiple activities at once.
- One of the biggest challenges was ensuring that children were in safe hands at all times. In a dynamic and interactive recreational environment, the risk of children getting lost or unauthorized individuals entering restricted areas was a major concern. It was essential to ensure that children remained within their designated zones.
- During peak times, such as holidays or special events, it was difficult to manage crowding and ensure every child found suitable activities without overcrowding any area. It was important to ensure equal participation without compromising safety.
- There was also a need for a quick and secure method to document children’s check-in and check-out times, in addition to identifying the children participating in various activities.
Solution
To solve these challenges, Club Liko decided to implement a practical and innovative solution by adopting RFID technology in various aspects of its operations, which proved to be ideal for ensuring security and effective organization.
Each child was given a wristband equipped with RFID technology that contained their personal information and specific data such as the activity they’re participating in, their location within the premises, and their entry and exit status. The child’s location could be tracked instantly using RFID readers placed throughout the venue.
RFID technology was used for the check-in and check-out system. When a child arrives, their RFID wristband is scanned to log their entry. Upon exit, the wristband is scanned again to ensure the child is leaving only with authorized persons, thus enhancing overall safety.
Activity supervisors could monitor the children participating in different activities through RFID readers, which made organizing and supervising activities much easier.
With the RFID system, Club Liko was able to determine the number of children in each area in real-time, helping to distribute them more effectively and avoid overcrowding.
An alert system using RFID was introduced to notify supervisors if a child moves between activities without supervision or enters areas not designated for them.
Effects
- RFID technology helped ensure that every child was in a safe environment and constantly monitored. Thanks to the wristband linked to each child’s data, the risk of losing children was significantly reduced.
- It also prevented unauthorized individuals from entering the children’s areas, further enhancing the center’s security.
- Activity management became more organized, as supervisors could instantly track children’s locations and guide them to appropriate activities.
- The system facilitated the identification of children and the activities they were participating in, thus improving the operational efficiency of the center.
- With enhanced safety and organization, parents felt more comfortable sending their children to participate in activities, increasing family trust in Club Liko.
- The technology also helped reduce wait times and crowding in busy areas, making visits smoother and more enjoyable.
- Thanks to the RFID system, the need for human monitoring was reduced, lowering labor-related costs.
- By adopting RFID technology, Club Liko significantly improved safety and organization, effectively addressing the challenges of child monitoring and activity management. The technology also enhanced the visitor experience through increased efficiency and reduced chaos during peak times. Thus, RFID proved to be a key solution for major improvements in Club Liko’s daily operations.
