These challenges were mainly technical, financial, and administrative, with the most significant being the lack of a simple and accurate inventory system.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"2012\" data-end=\"2217\"><strong>The university struggled with tracking and updating asset records regularly due to the absence of a unified inventory system and clear, organized procedures, as they relied on manual or inaccurate methods.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2453\"><strong>The diversity of departments and activities within the university made inventory processes complex. Multiple departments meant divided responsibilities, leading to coordination issues and inconsistencies during inventory operations.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2665\"><strong>Manual inventory is prone to human error, such as incorrect data entry or overlooking assets. Additionally, staff lacked proper training to conduct inventory accurately or use modern asset management systems.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"2669\" data-end=\"2865\"><strong>Tracking mobile assets, such as electronic devices, was particularly challenging. These assets often moved between departments and were used by various individuals, making them difficult to trace.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"2869\" data-end=\"3063\"><strong>Updating records for outdated or unusable assets required significant time and effort. When a UHF RFID reader is passed near these assets, their location is identified, and the database is updated instantly. This enabled real-time location tracking of any asset across the campus with ease.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"3781\" data-end=\"3972\"><strong>Human error from manual inventory processes\u2014such as incorrect data entry or forgotten assets\u2014was greatly reduced, and the accuracy and reliability of asset information significantly improved.<\/strong><\/li><li data-start=\"3976\" data-end=\"4276\"><strong>Inventory tasks became much faster compared to traditional methods. Instead of scanning each item individually, multiple assets could be read simultaneously.
